In recent years I have become increasingly interested in disability issues and also in the possibility that a great deal of ill health in our nation may be going undiagnosed or not even recognised at all. This interest was again prompted by my own experience of having a toxic reaction to the mercury in my dental fillings.
The entire medical, dental, and scientific establishment in UK appears to be either in denial or totally complacent about the possible impact of leaving a known toxic substance inside the human mouth for years at a time (in my case, 45 years).
A project for the future is to gather as much information as possible on the issue of the currently largely unacknowledged problem of toxic reactions to dental amalgam with a view to writing a campaigning book on the subject.
If you feel you might have anything to contribute to such a project, you are welcome to contact me on

My other interests include music (I play the guitar) and dogs (I currently have a Border Collie), a little gardening, military aviation of the Second World War, and keeping my partner happy (I am successful in the latter most of the
time…)
